The cook at The
Bird is Gregg Lockwood. According to himself he learned
to cook on a working fish boat up in Alaska but no one can actually
corroborate this bullshit.
Wherever it was you can't deny he knows how to cook steaks and
make cheesecake.
He comes from New York, has been everywhere, but has been living
in Berlin for about a year and likes it pretty good. Everyone
asks him why the hell he would leave New York for Berlin. The
truth is he doesn't really know, so please don't ask him because
he just looks confused when you do.
Gregg lives in Weissensee with his dog, Annie.

The big man behind
the bar is Jonathan Cook, also from New York. He knows a lot
about the fine quality beers and liquors that he serves up,
one of the reasons being that he spends a good portion of the
time skulling a load of it himself.
Jon also lives with a dog, but in Prenzlauerberg. The dog's
name is Pawnee and you will see him when you go to The Bird
as he spends a lot of time there chewing meat bones and generally
just buzzing around the place. He might bark when you come in,
but don't be scared. He isn't dangerous, just a few kibbles
short of a full bag.
Jon has a lot of years in the business, most of them in New
York City. This means he knows how to take care of good customers,
and also knows what to do if you start messing up the place.
